Key Responsibilities of Packaging material testing:

 

  • Material Testing & Validation
  • Conduct mechanical, chemical, and environmental tests on packaging materials.
  • Evaluate strength, durability, and resistance to stress, moisture, and temperature variations.
  • Compliance & Standards
  • Ensure packaging meets ISO, ASTM, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare documentation and reports for audits and certifications.
  • Quality Assurance
  • Identify defects, weaknesses, and risks in packaging materials.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work with product design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
  • Provide technical input during packaging development stages.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Research new testing methodologies and industry innovations.
  • Implement best practices to enhance packaging performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
  • Experience with packaging test methods (drop test, compression, vibration, leak detection, etc.).
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

 Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing software.
  • Understanding of sustainability practices in packaging.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
