About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance and Control Manager to oversee and enhance the quality processes within our jewelry manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the QA/QC functions, ensuring that every piece of jewelry meets the highest standards of craftsmanship, dimensions, and finish. This role involves developing and implementing quality management systems, conducting rigorous inspections at various stages of production, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The manager will collaborate closely with production teams to identify root causes of defects, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in jewelry manufacturing and quality management to contribute to the company's growth and uphold its reputation for excellence.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5-6 years of relevant experience in jewelry manufacturing, with a proven track record of managing quality assurance and control functions. A bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Metallurgy, Quality Management, or related fields is required. Certifications such as Six Sigma, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, or other quality management qualifications are highly preferred. Additional certifications in Gemology or Jewelry Manufacturing will be considered an advantage. Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership skills, excellent analytical abilities, and a keen eye for detail. Familiarity with industry standards, inspection techniques, and quality improvement methodologies is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of quality assurance and control across the jewelry manufacturing process. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive quality management systems and standard operating procedures (SOPs) aligned with industry standards and client requirements.
• Conducting thorough quality inspections at incoming raw material stages, in-process checkpoints, and final product evaluations to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Monitoring quality across all manufacturing stages, including casting, filing, assembling, soldering, polishing, stone setting, finishing, and packing.
• Investigating quality issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to mitigate recurrence.
• Analyzing rejection rates, rework, repair data, and customer complaints to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements.
• Establishing inspection criteria and quality checkpoints for each production phase, ensuring adherence to standards.
• Approving first-off samples, pilot batches, and final products before release to ensure they meet all specifications.
• Ensuring that jewelry dimensions, weight, finish, polish, solder quality, and stone alignment conform to design and quality standards.
• Training production and quality teams on inspection procedures, defect prevention, and quality awareness to foster a culture of quality consciousness.
