QUALITY ENGINEER – NDT Level 3

Job brief

o Quality Control of all process : Pipe & Tube Line

 - Monitoring & Audit in main process impacted at product quality

o Management of Inspection in the field

 - NDT inspection(UT, ECT), Visual Inspection, Dimension Inspection, Raw material Inspection

o Management for non-conformity

  - Finding the non-conformity between procedures/work standards and actual operations

 - Managing the nonconformity handling process

o Quality level control by process

- Identifying key factor of quality

o Process Audit

- Selecting Improvement process & Proceeding Audit

 

Responsibilities

- Create monitoring procedures for each process, focusing on factors affecting quality.

- Develop and implement an annual process quality audit plan.

- Quality-related data management and analysis.

- Prepare and maintain non-destructive testing procedures.

- Prepare and maintain Visual & Dimension Inspection procedures.

- Maintain Inspector Qualifications

- Review and improve customer requirements related to non-destructive and inspection

- Issuing and managing NCR when nonconforming products are found

-  Identify problems through analysis of quality/operation data from the previous year and select key improvement processes.

- Establish detailed plans for audit personnel, schedule, and content for each improvement process and report to the quality manager.

- Set detailed audit items for the relevant process.

- Create a Check Sheet for each audit item, including criteria and performance, and notify the relevant factories.

- Review and familiarize with applicable work and inspection standards for the relevant process prior to audits.

- Conduct an audit of the relevant process according to the audit participants and Check Sheet items.

- Create a report after consulting with the audit participants.

- Report the created report to the quality manager and receive approval, and then distribute it to the relevant process.

- Identify nonconformities in the audit results.

- Request the relevant factory to establish improvement measures for nonconformities such as noncompliance with operation standards and no reflection of standards.

- Review the effectiveness of the improvement measures and report the relevant contents to the quality assurance team leader.

- Periodically monitor operation improvement items to check for improvement and compliance.

- Perform other works, duties and tasks requested by Quality Manager.

- Act as the technical authority for UT and ECT activities in accordance with ASNT Level III requirements.

- Prepare, review, approve, and maintain UT and ECT procedures and techniques in compliance with applicable standards and customer requirements.

- Ensure qualification, certification, and competency of UT and ECT inspectors in accordance with the approved Written Practice.

- Provide technical support for UT/ECT inspection results, nonconformities, and corrective actions.

- Ensure proper control, calibration, and technical suitability of UT and ECT equipment.

 

Requirements and skills

- Bachelor degree of Engineering

- Minimum 10 years experience in the field and position related to Quality Assurance & Control & Management.

- ASNT Level III certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Eddy Current Testing (ECT) is mandatory.

- Understanding applicable Quality Procedures, Work Instructions and applicable Product Specifications and Standards both Customer and International

- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc.
