Job Description
Responsibilities (In order of Priority)
1) Co-ordination with the design and manufacturing teams to understand Design, Raw material requirements, inprocess quality, product test plans.
2) Preparation of Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis of various systems (FMECA).
3) In-Process inspection of Precision components including Process Critical Dimensions & Functional Critical Dimensions.
4) Surveillance during Assembly & Integration of Mechanical systems.
5) Generate and maintain Quality documents including Quality Assurance Plans, Dimensional inspection reports, Non-Conformance report, process sheets and in-process check lists, NDT reports, test reports, Quality Assessment Reports etc. 6) Qualification and Acceptance of raw materials, fasteners and seals.
7) Audit and follow up for closure of Non-conformance reports.
8) Documentation of Lessons Learnt towards continuous improvement and realization of actual hardware.
Skills required
Technical Skills (In order of Priority)
1) Experience in QA/QC in Precision assemblies & testing of Mechanical systems.
2) Knowledge in preparing Quality Assurance Plans/Quality Assessment report for new products.
3) Knowledge in raw material testing standards such as ASTM/AMS for Metallics.
4) Familiarity with quality acceptance standards for aerospace grade fasteners, springs & seals desirable.
Other Skills (In order of Priority):
1) Should be able to adapt to new fabrication processes & techniques.
2) Good communication skills.
Qualification:
1) Diploma / Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering/ Aerospace Engineering.
2) At least 3 years of experience in the Aerospace industry as a quality engineering role.
Preferable:
1) Experience in aerospace Mechanical systems
