Job Description
Role Overview and Responsibilities:
As part of the Quality Assurance team at Dhruva Space, the Quality Engineer will ensure that electrical, electronic, and RF systems and components meet defined quality, reliability, and compliance requirements across procurement, assembly, integration, testing, and final acceptance.
Key Responsibilities, but are not limited to:- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of EEE components, PCBs, harnesses, RF components, and COTS hardware.
- Support QA activities throughout Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) of electrical and RF systems and Ground Stations.
- Perform and support RF performance validation of LNAs, HPAs, BUCs/BDCs, ACUs, and associated RF chains.
- Review RF test results and link budgets, including G/T and EIRP, against system and mission requirements.
- Prepare and maintain QAPs, inspection reports, checklists, test plans, test procedures, and quality records.
- Manage NCRs, RCA, CAPA, defect tracking, and corrective actions for hardware and process issues.
- Inspect antenna components, mounts, radomes, and RF/fibre cabling for workmanship, installation, and integrity.
- Manage calibration requirements for RF test equipment such as VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, and Signal Generator.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards including IEEE, NASA, ECSS, ITU, and ISO 9001.
- Support audits, process improvements, and cross-functional quality reviews with Engineering, AIT, Manufacturing, and Procurement teams.
- Bachelor's degree in ECE, EEE, or related discipline.
- 1–4 years of experience in QA/QC, quality engineering, electronics, RF systems, or aerospace/defence hardware.
- Experience in QA/QC of electrical/electronic assemblies and RF subsystems/systems.
- Working knowledge of VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, and RF measurement techniques.
- Knowledge of QAPs, inspection/audit reports, checklists, NCR, RCA, and CAPA.
- Understanding of RF testing, link budgets, G/T, EIRP, and electrical/RF documentation.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards such as IEEE, NASA, ECSS, ITU, and ISO 9001.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace.
- Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in satellite, aerospace, defence, avionics, or high-reliability electronics.
- Exposure to satellite AIT, RF payloads, communication systems, or environmental testing.
