About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our team in Chennai. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of our mission-critical financial platforms. Your primary focus will be on testing complex backend systems, batch-processing workflows, and high-volume transaction processing environments. You will collaborate closely with development teams, product owners, and other stakeholders to identify testing requirements, develop test cases, and execute comprehensive testing strategies. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our financial systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering seamless, reliable solutions to our clients.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of QA experience with a strong emphasis on backend testing. You should have a solid understanding of Unix/Linux/Solaris environments, with hands-on experience in batch execution, log analysis, and troubleshooting. Expertise in Oracle SQL is essential, including the ability to write complex queries, perform joins, and conduct data reconciliations and validations. Proficiency in shell scripting or Perl is required to read, debug, and validate script-based workflows. Candidates with exposure to messaging platforms like Kafka, experience with Pro*C, or a background in banking, financial services, or regulatory systems will be considered highly advantageous. A demonstrated ability to work with large data volumes and legacy enterprise platforms is also desirable.

Responsibilities

As a Senior QA Engineer, your responsibilities will include designing and executing detailed test plans and test cases for backend and batch processing systems. You will analyze logs, monitor system performance, and troubleshoot issues to ensure system robustness. Collaborating with development teams, you will validate data feeds, message processing, and real-time data integrations, ensuring accuracy and consistency across platforms. You will also participate in requirement reviews, identify potential risks, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will mentor junior QA team members, share best practices, and promote quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.
