Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse business requirements independently (with minimal guidance) and design comprehensive test cases covering all scenarios.
- Derive high-level business test scenarios and maintain structured test case repositories ensuring complete coverage.
- Perform end-to-end manual testing including functional, regression, and workflow-based validation.
- Validate merchant lifecycle flows including onboarding, transactions, and operational processes.
- Identify, log, and track defects with clear documentation and follow-through.
- Ensure traceability between requirements, test scenarios, and test cases.
- Collaborate effectively with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure product quality.
- Document test approaches, execution results, and key findings in a structured manner.
Qualifications
Required Skills Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in manual testing with a strong understanding of STLC and defect lifecycle.
- Strong expertise in test design techniques and ability to translate business requirements into detailed test scenarios and cases.
- Hands-on experience and strong analytical skills in validating merchant onboarding, merchant transactions, residual processing, fraud/risk scenarios, and payment gateway integrations including authorization, settlement, reconciliation, refunds, chargebacks, recurring payments, disputes, and transaction monitoring.
- Familiarity with test management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or JIRA.
- Basic SQL knowledge for backend data validation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and contribute quickly with minimal handholding.
- Strong ownership, self-initiative, and the ability to independently perform testing activities in a fast-paced environment.
