This candidate will be responsible for ensuring product and process quality, driving continual improvement, and maintaining full compliance with quality procedures.
Key responsibilities include
- conducting product/dock audits,
- resolving customer complaints through effective CAPA, and
- reducing in-process PPM while improving FPY.
- The position involves preparing QAPs, performing inspections as per drawings, analyzing quality data, and ensuring right-first-time quality execution.
The role requires strong hands-on experience with pneumatic products (valves, coils, actuators, cylinders, panels, automation systems), precision measuring instruments, and knowledge of PFMEA, MSA, SPC, 7QC tools, and 8D methodology.
The candidate will support supplier improvements, manage documentation accuracy, and promote Lean, 5S, and ISO compliance. Strong analytical skills, customer focus, teamwork, and a sense of urgency are essential.
Qualification:
- B.E. Mechanical with 8 years of experience.
Preferred Experience:
- Strong experience in inspection and testing of pneumatic products such as:
- Solenoid & poppet valves and Solenoid coils (weatherproof & explosion-proof)
- Rotary actuators, scotch yoke actuators, ON/OFF cylinders
- Positioner cylinders, pneumatic panels
- Valve automation & testing
- Expertise in reading and managing plant drawings, tolerance analysis, material selection, and inspection standards.
- Knowledge of processes such as painting, powder coating, machining, burnishing, casting, heat treatment, and piping (added advantage).
- Hands-on experience with critical measuring instruments such as Trimos, digital vernier calipers, micrometers, and ability to define measuring fixture requirements.
- Ability to conduct PFMEA, MSA, SPC.
- Strong understanding of limits and fits, tolerances.
- Proficient in 7 QC tools, 8D methodology, and strong analytical skills.
- Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, 5S, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ATEX, PED, and machinery directives (added advantage).
