Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Quality Engineer (Civil) position based in Ahmedabad. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for overseeing quality control processes, implementing quality assurance practices, and managing quality standards in construction projects. Key responsibilities include monitoring building materials and construction processes, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, conducting inspections, and reporting on quality-related issues. The role also involves collaborating with project teams to maintain high-quality deliverables and identifying areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Control:

Implement and monitor project-specific Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) and Quality Control (QC) procedures.

Conduct inspections for materials, workmanship, structural works, finishing, and MEP-related activities.

Ensure compliance with IS codes, project specifications, drawings, and standards.

Site Monitoring:

Perform daily quality checks at the site for villa construction (footings, columns, beams, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, etc.).

Identify quality deviations and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.

Inspect and approve shuttering, reinforcement, concreting, and other key stages of works.

Material Testing & Documentation:

Coordinate third-party material testing and maintain test records.

Review and verify vendor-supplied materials for quality compliance.

Maintain proper documentation including checklists, NCRs, DPRs, MBs, and QC reports.

Coordination & Communication:

Work closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Contractors, and Architects to ensure quality standards are met.

Provide feedback and training to site teams on quality processes.

Liaise with clients for inspections and ensure quality-related expectations are fulfilled.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering.

38 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in construction projects.

Experience in villa projects or weekend/holiday homes is mandatory.

Strong knowledge of IS codes, QA/QC procedures, construction materials, and site activities.

Ability to read and interpret structural & architectural drawings.

Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD (optional), and quality documentation.

Strong problem-solving, inspection, and communication skills.
