Qualification:
- Graduate in Civil Engineering
Experience Required:
- Total Professional Experience: Minimum 15 years in the construction of Buildings.
- Relevant Experience: Must have worked as a Quality control Engineer in construction or construction supervision of:
- Building projects with minimum 10,000 sqm built-up area and 4 or more storeys, OR
- Building projects with minimum 5,000 sqm built-up area and 3 or more storeys, OR
- Building projects with a project cost of Rs. 50 crore or above.
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Material Engineer to oversee and ensure the quality, safety, and stability of building and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in soil investigation, foundation design, and material testing, along with extensive field experience in construction and supervision.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of construction quality control procedures, material specifications, and testing protocols for civil works.
- Proficient in quality inspection, material testing, and interpretation of test results for concrete, steel, aggregates, soil, and other construction materials.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify non-conformities and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Effective communication and coordination skills to work closely with site engineers, contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant IS codes, quality standards, QA/QC procedures, and construction quality assurance norms.
- Ability to prepare, review, and maintain quality documentation, test reports, inspection checklists, and compliance records.
