We're Hiring: QC Chemist – Application
Location: Baroda
Function: Quality Control
We are looking for a QC Chemist – Application to join our Quality Control team. The role involves sampling, analysis, and release of raw materials, finished goods, and re‑sale products while ensuring compliance with quality standards and laboratory best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform sampling and analysis of incoming crude raw materials, finished goods, and re‑sale products as per specifications
- Conduct application and analytical testing including:
- Exhaust dyeing
- Printing application
- Pad roll dyeing
- Solubility
- pH
- Dust note
- UV transmission
- Ensure timely quality release in SAP and accurate documentation of test results
- Handle material rejections, raise SCAR/NCP, and coordinate with Purchase, Planning, and Production teams
- Calibrate laboratory equipment (especially pH meters) on a daily basis and maintain calibration records
- Prepare, standardize, and label laboratory solutions required for analysis
- Support production by preparing lab blend recipes and providing corrective actions for blend deviations
- Evaluate evolution samples for alternative vendor development and support RIK activities
- Maintain counter sample records, laboratory housekeeping, and 5S practices
- Track laboratory chemical inventory, glassware, and consumables
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field
- Experience in Quality Control laboratory operations (chemical / textile industry preferred)
- Knowledge of application testing, raw material analysis, and laboratory documentation
- Familiarity with SAP quality release systems
- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
