About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented QA Engineer (Manual + Automation) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in manual testing along with basic automation skills. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, reliability, and performance of our software products by executing comprehensive test strategies and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on business and functional requirements.
- Perform Manual and Automation Testing of web and mobile applications to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Execute Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, and Sanity Testing.
- Design comprehensive test scenarios using strong logical and analytical thinking to identify edge cases and potential risks.
- Identify, document, prioritize, track, and verify software defects throughout the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Managers to understand requirements and ensure complete test coverage.
- Perform API testing, including request/response validation, authentication, error handling, and integration testing.
- Conduct database testing using MySQL, including writing SQL queries, validating data, and optimizing queries where required.
- Assist in executing basic performance, load, and stress testing and analyze test results.
- Participate in requirement review meetings and provide valuable feedback on testability and quality improvements.
- Analyze test execution results and prepare detailed testing reports.
- Ensure software complies with quality standards, business requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Maintain test documentation, defect reports, execution logs, and quality metrics.
- Support continuous improvement of QA processes, testing methodologies, and automation initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance (Manual + Automation).
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in Manual Testing, including:
- Functional Testing
- Regression Testing
- Smoke & Sanity Testing
- Integration Testing
- System Testing
- End-to-End Flow Validation
- Test Case Design & Execution
- Working knowledge of Automation Testing using frameworks such as:
- Playwright
- Selenium
- Appium
- Strong expertise in API Testing, including:
- Request & Response Validation
- Authentication & Authorization Testing
- Error Handling
- Integration Scenarios
- REST API Testing
- Basic experience in Database Testing using MySQL, including:
- Writing SQL Queries
- Data Validation
- Data Integrity Verification
- Query Optimization
- Exposure to Performance Testing concepts and tools, including:
- Load Testing
- Stress Testing
- Basic Performance Analysis
- Understanding of:
- Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Agile/Scrum Methodology
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira.
- Strong logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
- Experience with JSON, XML, and REST APIs.
- Exposure to cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
- Basic scripting knowledge for test automation is an added advantage.
