Elevation Builder QA-Beta Tester I

Role Summary

The Elevation Builder QA-Beta Tester I is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of Elevation Builder by writing, executing, and documenting test cases for both current and new features. This role focuses on validating user workflows, catching defects early, and supporting integrations between Elevation Builder and other environments and tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute test cases for existing functionality and new features, including positive, negative, and edge-case scenarios.
  • Document test plans, test cases, and test results in a clear, repeatable format that can be used by development, product, and support teams.
  • Perform regression testing after releases or configuration changes to ensure no impact to core workflows.
  • Participate in beta testing cycles, providing structured feedback on usability, performance, and defects.
  • Validate integrations with other environments/tools (for example, related design tools, file formats, or internal systems) to ensure data flows and workflows behave as expected.
  • Log, track, and retest defects using the team's issue tracking tools, providing clear reproduction steps and impact.
  • Collaborate with developers and product owners to clarify requirements, refine acceptance criteria, and understand intended behavior.
  • Contribute to test documentation and knowledge base, including test checklists, known issues, and user-facing release notes (as needed).

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 03 years of experience in software quality assurance, beta testing, or a related technical role.
  • Basic understanding of QA concepts (test planning, test cases, regression, smoke/sanity testing).
  • Experience writing and executing manual test cases based on requirements or user stories.
  • Ability to document findings clearly: steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual results, and relevant screenshots/logs.
  • Comfortable working with issue tracking tools (for example, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail, willingness to ask questions, and curiosity about how users interact with the product.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Experience testing diagramming, visualization, or technical drawing tools, or similar UX-heavy applications.
  • Exposure to testing integrations (APIs, file imports/exports, or interoperability with other software).
  • Basic familiarity with Visio or similar tools, and common file formats (e.g., PDF, images, diagram formats).
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment (participating in standups, sprint planning, and demos).
