Position Overview:
Client's Access Systems Engineering team under Growth Experience Technology Org is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to support our team of excellent engineers who are responsible for building Global Trade Compliance solutions.
In this contingent role, you will be driving the development of automated regression tests, end-to-end integrations, automation frameworks, and work with an in-house testing platform to have robust automated testing pipelines. This is a hands-on role in which you will design and automate functionals and regression tests, improving the productivity of our engineering teams and bringing standardization to our testing processes and practices.
Reporting to the Leader of Access Systems Engineering, you will collaborate with engineering and business teams to ensure that we are automating the tests and shipping the highest quality service possible at each release.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in the Test. Hands-on experience in designing and building automation frameworks from scratch.
- Must have development experience in Java & Javascript. Experience developing test automation tools and frameworks.
- Must have working experience on test framework like playwright, testNG, Java/selenium.
- Good programming experience on Python or Typescript or java.
- Experience with the various developer and CI/CD management tools e.g. IntelliJ, Eclipse, Jenkins, Git.
- Experience with testing services and applications on Cloud computing platforms like AWS.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of standard quality best practices, techniques, and methodologies to drive continuous quality improvements.
- Self-motivator, who can work independently, able to learn quickly, meets deadlines, and demonstrates strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Should be a good team player with prior liaison and collaboration experience with senior leaders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Being able to effectively communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner and ability to coordinate cross-team efforts.
- Comfortable with defect and test management and other tools like Jira, Wiki, Testrail, Smart sheet.
- Experience with setting up Test data and testing in multiple environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands on experience in Integration & E2E testing.
- Experience in developing Java+selenium, Cypress or Playwright test framework for web base application.
- Java developer experience gives added advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain test automation utilized by the team to automate critical business scenarios for regression testing.
- Co-ordinate automation test planning and integration test activities with all stakeholders.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to investigate, troubleshoot, and identify/implement fixes for all issues.
- Develop and document UI and integrated test automation and application framework enhancements using relevant technologies (like Java, Javascript, Python etc.).
- Participate in code reviews, and design reviews, and provide recommendations for improvements in code quality.
- Develop automation test scripts for web-based test case & API test cases. Provide Recommendations on best practices of Quality Assurance.
- Experience with test automation for packaged applications e.g. Oracle EDQ/OWS or Salesforce.
- Contribute to technical leadership and strategic direction to continuously improve the Quality of Engineering Organization.
Experience in using CI/CD Jenkins pipeline with Jenkins File Experience in automating REST API.
