Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented QA/QC Manager to lead our Quality Assurance and Quality Control function for high-rise residential and commercial construction projects. The role involves establishing quality standards, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and safety requirements, and managing a team of QA/QC engineers and inspectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Mobilize and establish a Quality Management System (QMS) at project sites.
- Prepare and implement the Project Quality Plan in line with company and client requirements.
- Carry out inspection and testing of construction materials as per IS codes through internal and third-party laboratories.
- Conduct quality inspections of execution works across civil, structural, finishing, and MEP activities.
- Analyse and approve concrete mix designs for different grades; conduct and monitor trial mixes.
- Coordinate with clients/customers to obtain approvals for materials, methodologies, and construction activities.
- Monitor concrete production at batching plants, cube casting, and compressive strength testing.
- Identify deviations, raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and propose/implement corrective & preventive actions.
- Prepare and submit monthly quality reports (MIS) to Head Office.
- Oversee the handover of completed facilities to the client with required quality documentation.
- Plan and conduct internal quality audits for projects.
- Conduct quality training programs for engineers, staff, and skilled labor.
- Maintain ISO documentation and ensure compliance during certification audits.
Key Requirements:
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering .
- Experience: 814 years in QA/QC within the construction/real estate industry, with proven exposure to high-rise building projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, techniques, and quality standards.
- Hands-on expertise in Quality Management Systems, ISO standards, and auditing processes.
- Proven track record in implementing and maintaining Integrated Management Systems (IMS):
o ISO 9001 (QMS)
o ISO 14001 (EMS)
o ISO 45001 (OHSAS)
- Demonstrated success in achieving IMS certifications without major non-conformities in large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in technical documentation, including preparation and review of QA/QC plans, checklists, and reports.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD (for drawings/review) and MS Project (for planning and monitoring quality activities).
- Strong command of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) for reporting, analysis, and presentations.
- Excellent leadership, team management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
