Roles & Responsibilities
- Establish approved quality samples.
- Prepare and maintain calibration calendar for measuring instruments and ensure timely calibration through NABL accredited lab.
- Conduct factory visits and monitor quality of raw materials, process, and finished products.
- Report BOQ-wise production and readiness status to Production Manager.
- Certify quality of components before dispatch.
- Maintain in-process and final inspection reports.
- Conduct QAQC training on SOPs for welding, hot dip galvanizing, powder coating, epoxy and enamel painting.
- Perform NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) DPT, MPT, hammer tests.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using Vernier caliper, measuring tape, and dry film thickness meter.
- Conduct periodic audits of manufacturing plants and report non-conformance.
- Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor vendor performance and provide improvement feedback.
- Prepare monthly QAQC MIS reports for management.
- Implement QMS as per ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Prepare and implement Quality Assurance Plan, Inspection Test Plan (ITP), and Material Test Plan (MTP).
Experience Required
- 4-5 years in manufacturing / fabrication plant as Fabrication Engineer
- 4-5 years in Quality Control & Quality Assurance
- Total Experience: 8-10 years preferred
Educational & Professional Qualification
- 10th Standard
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (recognized university)
- ASNT Level-2 (DPT & MPT)
- Internal Auditor ISO 9001:2015 (QMS)
