Job Description – Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer (Fresher)
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented
QA Engineer (Fresher) to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in software testing principles, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a willingness to learn new technologies and tools. The candidate will work closely with Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software across web and mobile applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand business requirements and functional specifications.
- Prepare, review, and execute test cases and test scenarios.
- Perform Manual Testing, including Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, and Exploratory Testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects throughout the Bug Life Cycle.
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing before release.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman.
- Collaborate with Developers, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Prepare test reports and maintain QA documentation.
- Perform production validation and release verification.
- Continuously learn and adopt new testing tools, technologies, and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have:
- A good understanding of Software Testing concepts, SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
- Knowledge of Manual Testing methodologies and best practices.
- Understanding of test case design, test scenarios, Bug Life Cycle, and defect reporting.
- Good knowledge of API Testing using tools like Postman.
- Basic understanding of SQL and the ability to write simple queries for database validation.
- Good knowledge of Automation Testing concepts and exposure to tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good documentation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
- Eagerness to learn new tools, technologies, and testing methodologies.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Science, Electronics, or a related field.
- Recent graduates or candidates with up to one year of experience are encouraged to apply.
- Preferred Skills (Good to Have)Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect management tools.
- Basic knowledge of Android and iOS application testing.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Exposure to automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar tools.
- Basic knowledge of Git or version control systems.
