Quality Assurance Officer

Position Title - Officer Quality Assurance

-Location - Tezpur, Assam

The candidate should have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Brewery Quality, with sound knowledge of overall brewery operations and management.

He should have strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Quality Management Systems and Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS), along with the capability to lead, guide, and develop the QA team.

Job Responsibilities – Quality Assurance

1. QA Reporting & Documentation: Maintain daily/monthly QA data, dashboards, KPI reports and quality records with accuracy and traceability.
2. Quality Systems & Compliance: Support the CBU team in FSSAI, FSSC 22000, ISO, QMS, GLP/GMP, hygiene and process audits, ensuring statutory and food-safety compliance.
3. Analytical & Microbiological Quality Control: Perform testing of water, wort, yeast, UT beer, BBT, finished goods, air, CO₂ and process/packaging samples, including microbiological media preparation and result interpretation.
4. Process & Yeast Quality Monitoring: Monitor pH, yeast cell count/viability, yeast propagation, CIP effectiveness and other critical in-process quality parameters.
5. Sensory Quality Management: Conduct and manage daily sensory evaluation of UT beer, BBT and finished goods, including taint, Go/No-Go and dope taste through AXPERT.
6. Packaging Quality Assurance: Monitor bottle washing, caustic strength, EBI/FBI, PU, labelling, carton packaging and overall finished-product quality on the shop floor.
7. SAP & Material Quality Release: Ensure timely SAP quality release of Wort, BBT, Finished Goods and RM/PM GRNs after required quality verification.
8. Audit, NC, CAPA & Complaint Management: Conduct supplier/process audits, manage RM/PM non-conformances and CAPA, and support timely investigation and closure of market complaints.
9. Continuous Improvement & Trials: Support new product/process/commercial trials, CTC sample management, and provide QOSP/SOSF quality training to the CBU team for continuous improvement.
