Position: Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or
- Diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in the execution of Railway Infrastructure Projects and/or Highway Projects.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance in construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) systems for civil construction projects.
- Ensure construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
- Conduct inspections and monitor the quality of construction materials, workmanship, and site activities.
- Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, Quality Checklists, and other quality-related documents.
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, contractors, and clients on quality-related matters.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify quality issues, non-conformities, and areas for improvement.
- Raise and monitor NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
- Review test reports and ensure required material and site testing is carried out as per project specifications.
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, test reports, and other project documentation.
- Support internal and external quality audits and ensure compliance with applicable standards and project requirements.
- Monitor subcontractor quality performance and ensure compliance with approved quality procedures.
- Provide guidance and training to site teams on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure timely closure of quality observations and maintain proper documentation for project handover.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes for civil construction projects.
- Good understanding of Railway Infrastructure and/or Highway construction.
- Knowledge of construction materials, testing procedures, inspection methods, and quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret civil/structural drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and coordination skills.
- Good problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to manage quality activities independently at project sites.
- Willingness to travel/work at project locations as required.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with hands-on experience in Railway Infrastructure, Highways, Bridges, Roads, Earthwork, Structures, or other large-scale civil infrastructure projects will be preferred.
