Role Overview

The Manager – Quality Assurance will independently lead the Quality Assurance function, with end-to-end responsibility for ensuring that all processes, parts, and finished products consistently meet defined quality standards and regulatory requirements.

This role is critical to protecting product integrity, customer confidence, and statutory compliance across LPG and Natural Gas equipment, while working closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and product development teams to embed quality at every stage.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Leadership

• Lead and manage the Quality Assurance team across incoming, in-process, and final inspection.

• Establish and reinforce a strong culture of quality, compliance, and accountability.

• Define quality objectives and ensure consistent achievement across operations.

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure compliance of products and processes with applicable EN, ISO, UL, and regulatory requirements.

• Own and maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

• Liaise with certification bodies and manage internal and external audits.

• Ensure timely closure of audit observations and corrective actions.

Product & Process Quality

• Monitor, analyse, and improve quality performance across valves, regulators, and related equipment.

• Drive root cause analysis for customer complaints, internal rejections, and field failures.

• Implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.

• Ensure effective control plans, inspection standards, and testing protocols.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure process discipline and quality adherence on the shop floor.

• Support new product trials, pilot runs, and validation activities.

• Coordinate with supply chain teams for vendor quality assurance and incoming material control.

• Interface with customers, where required, on quality matters and clarifications.

People & Capability Development

• Train and mentor QA staff on standards, tools, and best practices.

• Strengthen team capability in problem solving and data driven quality improvement.

• Build effective working relationships across functions to drive quality ownership.

Systems & Reporting

• Ensure systematic documentation, traceability, and records as per quality requirements.

• Use ERP / SAP systems for quality data capture, reporting, and analysis.

• Track and report key quality KPIs, including rejection trends, COPQ, and customer complaints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/industrial / manufacturing engineering or related field.

• 15+ years of experience in Quality Assurance within manufacturing or general engineering.

• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, EN standards, and regulatory compliance.

• Proven experience handling audits and certification processes.

• ERP / SAP exposure.

• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in assemblies, valves, regulators, or general engineering products.

• Exposure to international export quality requirements.

• Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, Six Sigma, and 8D.
