Role Description

  • Own customer complaint management end-to-end: acknowledgement root cause analysis (5-Why, 8D, Fishbone) , CAPA closure , zero repeat complaints.
  • Prepare, submit, and manage PPAP documentation for OEM customers: PSW, dimensional reports, control plans, PFMEA, process flow diagrams, capability studies (Cpk/Ppk), appearance approval
  • Host and manage customer audits: perpetual audit-readiness, audit execution, finding closures, re-audit coordination.
  • Drive internal rejection and rework reduction:. Implement SPC, in-process checkpoints, First Article Inspection, and Poka-Yoke at critical stages
  • Track and report Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) monthly in ₹.
  • Manage incoming material inspection and supplier quality:, supplier audits as per annual calendar, supplier CAPA management, vendor quality scoring
  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS): ISO 9001:2015 compliance, internal audits, Management Review Meetings, document control.
  • Build quality culture on the shop floor: operator training, visual inspection standards, Quality at Source philosophy.
  • Manage calibration system: master schedule, timely calibration, certificate management, NABL traceability
  • Own test certificate generation for every dispatch batch: conductivity, dimensional, plating thickness, tensile as applicable

Qualifications

8–15 years in quality in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years heading / independently managing quality for a plant or product line

HANDS-ON PPAP experience: you must have personally prepared and submitted PPAP packages (Level 1–5) to OEM customers.

Experience hosting and successfully clearing customer audits from OEMs (auto/electrical/switchgear/EV companies)

Strong in customer complaint management: 8D methodology, root cause analysis (5-Why, Fishbone, Ishikawa), CAPA management with documented closure

Proficiency in quality tools: SPC (Cpk/Ppk), FMEA (PFMEA), Control Plans, MSA (Measurement System Analysis), process flow diagrams

Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 QMS: internal audits, document control, management review, continuous improvement

Experience with incoming material inspection, supplier audits, and vendor quality management

Calibration management: schedule management, NABL traceability, instrument qualification

BE / B.Tech (Mechanical / Electrical / Metallurgy / Production) or equivalent. ISO Lead Auditor certification is a plus

Industry preference: copper / brass products, electrical components, auto ancillary, switchgear, panel boards, or similar metal manufacturing
