Job Responsibilities
Ensure full compliance with API Spec 7K and API Q1 requirements.
Act as Management Representative during API audits and surveillance audits.
Maintain and control the API Monogram program and marking requirements.
Prepare for audits and ensure timely closure of major and minor non-conformances.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
Strengthen identification and traceability controls from the raw material receipt stage.
Establish and maintain design package controls for monogram and non-monogram products.
Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections, including load testing and NDT.
Verify Material Test Reports (MTRs) and ensure full heat number traceability.
Monitor calibration and control of measuring and testing equipment.
Develop and manage the Approved Supplier List (ASL) and conduct supplier audits.
Ensure compliance for outsourced and traded products as per API requirements.
Conduct internal audits and lead root cause analysis (RCA) and CAPA implementation.
Control non-conforming products and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Maintain document control, revision control, and record retention systems.
Conduct management review meetings and present quality performance reports.
Train production and inspection teams on API compliance and quality standards.
Drive continuous improvement and a zero-defect culture across the organization.
Qualification & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering.
Minimum 4 years of experience in the manufacturing industry (preferably oil & gas equipment).
At least 35 years of hands-on experience in API Q1 compliance.
Proven experience handling API audits independently.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive corrective actions.
