Quality Assurance Manager
Role Purpose
To lead and manage the Quality Assurance function by establishing robust quality systems, ensuring compliance with defined standards, and driving continuous improvement across the product lifecycle while maintaining strong customer interface and timely resolution of quality concerns.
Key Responsibilities-
1. Quality Leadership & Team Management
Lead and manage the QA team in the development, implementation, and execution of quality assurance processes and strategies.
Provide leadership, guidance, training, and development opportunities to enhance team skills and overall performance.
2. Quality System Implementation
Develop, implement, and enforce quality standards, procedures, and inspection systems across
manufacturing and assembly operations.
Ensure compliance with IMS / IATF / OEM quality requirements and internal quality management
systems.
3. Performance Monitoring & amp; Quality Metrics
Monitor and analyse key quality indicators such as Customer PPM, COPQ, In-house rejection,
Warranty claims, and defect trends.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve quality targets and customer expectations.
4. Customer Interface & Complaint Management
Act as the primary interface with customers/OEMs for quality-related matters.
Address customer complaints, warranty issues, and field failures in coordination with internal teams.
Ensure timely communication with customers regarding containment, corrective actions, and
preventive measures.
5. CAPA / 8D Problem Resolution
Lead the root cause analysis of customer complaints and internal quality issues using structured
problem-solving methodologies.
Ensure preparation and submission of CAPA reports and 8D reports to customers within defined
timelines.
Monitor the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions and ensure closure.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with product development, engineering, production, maintenance, and supply chain teams to integrate quality standards across the product lifecycle.
Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving and improvement initiatives.
7. Audit & Compliance Management
Plan and oversee internal audits, product audits, process audits, and system audits.
Ensure readiness and compliance for customer audits, OEM audits, and certification audits (IATF /IMS).
8. Quality Documentation & Reporting
Develop and maintain quality documentation including inspection plans, quality procedures, audit reports, test reports, and defect tracking records.
Ensure document control and record retention as per IMS requirements.
9. Continuous Improvement & amp; Risk Prevention
Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to eliminate recurring issues.
Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability, process capability, and customer satisfaction.
