Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Quality Engineering Engineer to execute and enhance QE activities for Salesforce-based insurance applications. The ideal candidate will bring solid experience in Salesforce testing combined with understanding of commercial and specialty insurance operations. This hands-on role involves test design, automation development, and ensuring quality delivery across insurance technology projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive test cases for Salesforce implementations covering Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, and Experience Cloud functionalities.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Salesforce-compatible automation tools such as Provar, Copado, or Selenium with Salesforce-specific adaptations.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing for insurance workflows including policy lifecycle, claims management, and customer portal interactions.
- Test Salesforce integrations with external systems such as rating engines, document repositories, payment processors, and third-party data providers.
- Validate business rules, workflows, approval processes, and Lightning flows specific to commercial and specialty lines insurance operations.
- Execute API testing for Salesforce REST and SOAP services, ensuring data integrity across system boundaries.
- Participate in sprint planning, story refinement, and provide testing estimates for Salesforce development work.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution, collaborating with developers for root cause analysis.
- Contribute to test data management strategies, ensuring appropriate coverage for various insurance scenarios.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and coordinate with business users for sign-off.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 58 years of experience in Quality Engineering with at least 3 years focused on Salesforce platforms.
- Experience testing commercial and specialty lines insurance products including Property, Casualty, Professional Liability, or related lines of business.
- Proficiency in testing Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, and Experience Cloud applications.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce test automation tools such as Provar, Copado Robotic Testing, or Selenium-based frameworks.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce data model, SOQL queries, workflows, process builders, and Lightning components.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI for Salesforce integrations.
- Understanding of insurance terminology, processes, and regulatory considerations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Administrator or Platform App Builder certification.
- Experience with Salesforce DevOps practices and tools such as Gearset or Copado.
- Familiarity with ACORD standards and insurance data interchange formats.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration with test automation suites.
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent.
