Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Multimedia Embedded Tech Lead to lead design, development, and integration of multimedia solutions on embedded platforms. The role involves working closely with chipset vendors, OEMs, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality audio and video solutions on Linux/Android-based systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development and integration of multimedia components on embedded platforms.
- Drive architecture, design, and implementation of audio/video frameworks and pipelines.
- Work on multimedia stacks such as GStreamer, OpenMAX, V4L2, Audio/Display HAL, and codecs.
- Lead board bring-up, system integration, and debugging at BSP and application layers.
- Collaborate with hardware, kernel, and application teams to ensure seamless multimedia performance.
- Perform performance tuning, latency optimization, and memory optimization.
- Review code, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical guidance to the team.
- Work closely with customers and stakeholders to resolve critical issues and meet project milestones.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in Embedded C/C++ development.
- Hands-on experience with Linux/Android multimedia frameworks.
- Good understanding of audio/video codecs, streaming, synchronization, and rendering pipelines.
- Experience with device drivers, kernel debugging, and system-level troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in debugging tools, log analysis, and performance profiling.
- Exposure to SoC platforms (Qualcomm, MediaTek, NXP, TI, etc.) is a plus.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of Android framework internals and HAL layers.
- Client-facing experience and ownership of technical delivery.
