Role Overview
The Quality Assurance Lead will oversee daily quality operations within the radiology reporting workflow, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of reports. The role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional capable of leading a team, handling client escalations, and maintaining high-quality standards across all modalities and report categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide the Quality Control Team in daily operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and consistency.
- Review radiology reports and DICOM images to identify mismatches, missed findings, or formatting errors.
- Monitor and audit QA reports to track team and individual performance metrics.
- Handle client queries and escalations with professionalism and timely communication.
- Collaborate with Radiologists, Coordinators, and Technical teams to maintain seamless workflow operations.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and present weekly/monthly QA performance reports to management.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to ensure continuous skill development.
- Maintain updated documentation, SOP adherence, and transparent QA reporting.
- Perform hands-on QA reviews during peak workload or staff shortages.
Core Competencies & Skills
- Strong Radiology Knowledge: Deep understanding of radiology modalities (X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, etc.) and reporting workflow.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience working with PACS systems .
- Leadership & Team Management: Ability to motivate and manage a QA team effectively.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to detect patterns and propose quality improvement strategies.
- Communication Skills: Clear, confident, and respectful communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent observation and accuracy in report verification.
- Fast Typing & Digital Efficiency: Skilled in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and QA tracking tools.
Experience & Qualification
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Radiology QA or Quality Control.
- Graduate degree in Science, Healthcare, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven ability to work under pressure and maintain quality in high-volume environments.
