Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical QA Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for validating the accuracy, functionality, and performance of newly developed data reports and dashboards. You'll work closely with data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure that reporting outputs meet business requirements and maintain the highest standards of data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Review report specifications and business requirements to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Perform functional, regression, and data validation testing on newly created reports and dashboards
• Validate data accuracy by comparing report outputs against source systems and SQL queries
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies
• Automate report validation processes where applicable using tools like Python, SQL, or testing frameworks
• Contribute to the development of QA best practices and testing standards for reporting

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in QA, data validation, or report testing roles
• Experience testing BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Sigma Computing
• Familiarity with ETL processes and data pipelines
• Excellent attention to detail and a passion for data accuracy
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, SQL)
• Understanding of data governance and quality frameworks
