Quality Assurance Engineer

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications through comprehensive testing and effective defect management.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using defect-management tools.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements.
• Participate in requirement analysis and provide inputs from a quality and testing perspective.
• Verify fixes and perform regression testing to ensure issues are properly resolved.
• Conduct testing across web and mobile applications, where applicable.
• Maintain clear documentation of test results, defects, and testing activities.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, testing standards, and overall product quality.
• Support release testing and ensure applications meet defined quality standards.

Required Skills

• 1–5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Testing.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Hands-on experience with manual testing and test case preparation.
• Good knowledge of functional and regression testing.
• Experience with defect-tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Basic understanding of API testing using tools such as Postman.
• Good understanding of SQL/database testing is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Good to Have

• Exposure to automation testing using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.
• Basic knowledge of programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Exposure to CI/CD and version-control tools such as Git.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
