About the Role

The Quality Assurance Engineer supports product quality assurance, material testing, and quality improvement activities to ensure building materials meet established specifications, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards.

The role focuses on monitoring product quality, identifying defects, supporting corrective actions, and collaborating with Production and Engineering teams to maintain consistent product performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Support quality assurance activities across incoming materials, manufacturing processes, and finished products.
• Coordinate product inspections and material testing to ensure compliance with established quality specifications and applicable standards.
• Monitor product quality indicators, including dimensional accuracy, density, compressive strength, and other relevant material properties.
• Maintain quality inspection records, test reports, and documentation to support traceability and compliance.
• Investigate product defects and non-conformities, conduct root cause analysis, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and relevant teams to address quality issues and improve product consistency.
• Support quality audits, quality management system activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze quality performance data and recommend improvements to reduce defects, minimize rework, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, material testing, or manufacturing quality; new graduates are welcome.
• Basic understanding of quality assurance principles, manufacturing processes, and material testing methods.
• Familiarity with construction materials, concrete products, AAC blocks, or related building materials is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001, and relevant Indian Standards (BIS) is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Proactive, responsible, and eager to learn, with a strong interest in product quality and continuous improvement.
