What are we building:

We are developing a platform which will help our field operations team to effectively manage their task, capture cultivation logs from million plus hectares of paddy fields, effectively manage the supply chain of agri-inputs and aggregate third party services required during the lifecycle of paddy fields.

The current tech stack includes React Native for mobile applications, ReactJs for web app powered by Rest APIs developed with JAVA using Spring and Hibernate.

We are seeking a user-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our team. The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products through rigorous testing and validation processes. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve issues, and ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and design test strategies.
• Report and track defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
• Develop, implement, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Conduct manual and automated testing of software applications to identify defects and ensure product quality.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on testing outcomes.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software testing.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience as a QA Engineer in software development.
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and proceses.
• Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG)
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages(e.g Python) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development proceses.

Must Have Skills:

• Analyzing requirements, identifying test scenarios, and developing detailed test cases.
• Strong experience in executing manual test cases and identifying defects.
• Proficiency in documenting test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Clear and concise in reporting bugs, writing test cases, and communicating with developers and stakeholders.

Good to Have Skills:

• Familiar with testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit or similar.
• Experience in writing automated test scripts and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Ability to write and execute SQL queries to validate data and perform backend testing.
