About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manual Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing QA team. In this role, you will help ensure the quality, functionality, and stability of our core customer-facing and backend systems.
Your contributions will support the reliability and performance of our platform, which serves a broad user base across Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate is analytical, thorough, and committed to maintaining high-quality standards through effective manual testing practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end manual testing efforts for Direct Platform & Apps across mobile (iOS, Android) and web platforms/backend services.
- Design, write, and execute comprehensive test cases, checklist, and exploratory tests across web and mobile platforms on product requirements and user flows.
- Perform regression, integration, exploratory, and UI/UX testing across multiple browsers and devices.
- Log detailed and reproducible bugs using tools like JIRA
- Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and PMs during sprint planning and daily standups.
- Perform basic API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Validate API responses and backend data to ensure functional consistency.
- Contribute to continuous process improvements in QA and test documentation
Must-Have Qualifications
- 14 years of experience in manual software testing.
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and QA methodologies
- Familiarity with testing web and mobile apps (preferably in travel, hospitality, or e-commerce).
- Experience using bug tracking tools like JIRA
- Ability to write clear and detailed bug reports and test cases.
- Experience with basic API testing tools (like Postman) is an advantage
- Ability to use SQL for validating backend data.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Knowledge of hospitality or travel-tech platforms is a plus
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with property management systems (PMS) or online booking platforms.
- Prior experience working in cross-functional remote teams.
