Key Result Areas And Activities :
- Data Quality Assurance : Develop and implement data quality standards and processes.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure data integrity.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies in collaboration with data teams.
- Software Testing & Validation : Create and execute detailed test plans and test cases for data validations.
- Validate data accuracy, transformation logic, and performance of reporting tools.
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Process Improvement : Continuously refine QA processes to align with evolving project needs.
- Troubleshoot issues and adapt testing strategies accordingly.
- Reporting & Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation of QA processes, test results, and issue logs.
- Provide regular status updates and reports to stakeholders.
- Collaboration & Communication : Work closely with developers, analysts, and business teams to understand requirements.
- Communicate findings and recommendations effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
Work And Technical Experience
Must Have Skills :
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, processes, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience in testing Python-based applications.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and working with large datasets.
- Good knowledge on using Excel and Advanced Excel for validation.
- Ability to define QA strategies and ensure end-to-end quality ownership.
- Exposure to automation testing concepts and tools (e.g., Selenium, PyTest) for future scalability.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to design and execute comprehensive test cases.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Good To Have Skill
- Proficiency in data validation and testing of statistical or ML models.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools like Jira.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Shell) for automation.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and architecture.
- Familiarity with ETL processes, data pipelines, and APIs.
- Exposure to PowerBI.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Qualification
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in QA roles with a focus on data and BI testing.
- Relevant certifications in QA, data engineering, or BI tools are a plus.
