Role Description

We are hiring a full-time Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. This is an on-site role located in Chennai. The Quality Assurance Engineer will focus on performing manual testing, executing test cases, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring software reliability. The individual will collaborate with development teams to identify bugs, suggest improvements, and support the delivery of high-functioning software applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for hardware and embedded systems.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and validation procedures for device-level testing.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system-level testing.
• Validate hardware features including:
• Wi-Fi connectivity and performance
• Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) functionality
• Camera modules and image quality validation
• Audio systems, microphones, speakers, and voice processing
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with engineering teams to drive resolution.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, Java, or similar programming languages.
• Work with test equipment, debugging tools, and hardware validation setups.
• Participate in root cause analysis and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues.
• Create detailed test reports, metrics, and quality documentation.
• Support continuous integration and continuous testing initiatives.

Qualfications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in QA Automation, Hardware Validation, or Embedded Testing.
• Strong programming experience in Python, Java, or similar scripting languages.
• Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience testing hardware devices and embedded systems.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Android, Linux, or embedded platforms.
• Familiarity with OTA testing and device firmware validation.
• Experience with test lab equipment and debugging tools.
• Knowledge of wireless protocols and networking concepts.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
