Role DescriptionWe're looking for a Senior Tester in India with 7+ years of hands-on testing experience who can join us immediately or at very short notice.
This is a remote role, working closely with our Product, Development, BA and QA teams on a complex SaaS product.
I'm particularly interested in speaking with testers who are familiar with, or influenced by, the thinking of James Bach and Michael Bolton – exploratory testing, critical thinking, questioning assumptions, understanding risk and investigating systems rather than simply confirming requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in software testing principles, including test planning, bug advocacy, and process improvement.
- Hands-on experience with Software Testing in web-based or SaaS environments.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Experience with issue tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail or similar).
- Basic understanding of APIs, databases, and modern software development practices; familiarity with automation concepts is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a user-focused mindset.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working with accounting or practice management software is beneficial but not required.
