About the Role
Carryout the inspection of the parts without any guidance and responsible for working closely with the calibration and validation of the instruments and gauges and monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Should be capable of studying the drawing with tolerances.
- Responsible for calibration of gauges & instruments as per schedule.
- Procurement of replacement gauges for calibration failed gauges.
- Perform accurate calibration and validation.
- Monitoring the calibration plan and carry out the calibration of gauges and instruments based on requirements.
- Carry out Linearity and MSA studies on the gauges and instruments and record as per the plan.
- Gauge planning for product development and existing part for inspection purpose as well as reducing the inspection time.
- Wear and tear monitoring on the gauges and replacing the same on timely basis.
- Should be aware of all basic measuring instruments used for inspection and should have hands-on experience in handling the instruments with advanced GD& T Knowledge.
- Perform inspection for forging, casting and machined parts as per the drawing requirement without any guidance.
- Record and maintain the inspection records and verify material test reports and other supporting documents.
- Designing gauges and fixtures to reduce inspection time and for 100% inspection for new product as well as production parts.
- Knowledge about special gauge, fixtures, receiver gauges.
- Tracking of instruments and gauges at multiple units and monitoring the calibration for the same.
- Actively participate in the 5S and continuous improvements process to eliminate the wastes in the entire supply chain process.
Qualification - Diploma / B.E.
Required Skills - 4+ years of experience in QA.
Preferred Skills - Advanced GD&T Knowledge.
