We are seeking a skilled QA Software Engineer / Software Tester with a minimum of 3 years of experience in manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test case design, execution, defect tracking, and automation frameworks, with a detail-orientated mindset. You will collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
Responsibilities
- Analyse business and technical requirements to design detailed test cases, scenarios, and plans.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and performance testing across multiple applications.
- Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar tools, ensuring clear defect documentation and RCA.
- Collaborate with developers and product owners for issue reproduction and resolution.
- Write and execute SQL queries to validate data and back-end processes.
- Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or Appium.
- Conduct API testing using Postman or REST Assured; validate response codes, payloads, and error handling.
- Contribute to performance/load testing using JMeter or LoadRunner where applicable.
- Maintain proper documentation of test cases, execution results, and QA sign-off reports.
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, actively participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Integrate and execute tests within CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional experience in software testing (manual + automation).
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies.
- Proficiency in test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks (Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Cypress).
- Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured).
- Working knowledge of SQL and database validation.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Scripting knowledge in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Exposure to cloud testing environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
