Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in
Python-based test automation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks, working with API testing, and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines. This role requires working in a modern, containerized, microservices-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python
- Perform API automation testing using tools/libraries such as pytest, requests, httpx
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and take ownership of pipeline execution
- Work closely with development teams in a microservices architecture
- Ensure test coverage, scalability, and maintainability of automation suites
- Participate in test strategy, planning, and execution for releases
- Debug and troubleshoot issues in automation scripts and environments
Mandatory Skills
- Strong programming experience in Python (mandatory)
- Hands-on experience in API automation testing (Python-based tools)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (owning and managing pipeline execution)
- Working knowledge of Docker / containerized environments
- Minimum 4+ years of relevant hands-on automation testing experience (Manual testing experience should not be counted as automation experience)
Good To Have
- Experience working in distributed microservices architecture
- Exposure to Kubernetes
- Experience in designing automation frameworks from scratch
- Understanding of multi-tenant systems and test isolation
Education
BE/BTech, Information Technology, or related discipline.
