Position: QA Automation Engineer (Healthcare Interoperability & Synthetic Data Testing)- Immediate Joiners/ Early Joiners Required

Role Overview

We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Healthcare Technology, EHR/EMR systems, interoperability testing, and synthetic patient data validation. The ideal candidate will design and execute automated testing strategies for healthcare applications, APIs, data exchanges, and patient workflows while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and data privacy requirements.

This role will focus on validating patient data flows across multiple healthcare systems using synthetic data, automated test frameworks, and interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, CCD, and X12.

Key Responsibilities

Healthcare Quality & Automation

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for healthcare applications and integrations.
• Develop automated API, UI, integration, regression, and end-to-end test suites.
• Participate in release validation, defect triage, root cause analysis, and quality improvement initiatives.

Healthcare Interoperability Testing

• Test interoperability between EHR/EMR platforms, healthcare APIs, payer systems, and third-party applications.
• Validate patient demographics, encounters, diagnoses, medications, lab results, claims, and care plans across systems.
• Support compliance with HIPAA, CMS, ONC, and healthcare interoperability requirements.

Data Validation & Synthetic Data Testing

• Create and manage synthetic patient datasets to validate clinical, operational, and financial workflows.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation between source and destination healthcare systems.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, clinicians, developers, and implementation teams.
• Support healthcare quality initiatives and ensure reliable, secure, and compliant healthcare technology solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or related field.
• 5+ years of QA Automation experience.
• 3+ years of healthcare application testing experience.
• Experience testing patient data workflows across EHR, EMR, payer, and provider platforms.
• Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability and clinical workflows.

Healthcare Domain Expertise

• Experience supporting and validating healthcare workflows across Electronic Health Records (EHR), Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Patient Registration, Clinical Documentation, and Provider Operations.
• Experience working with Revenue Cycle Management, Claims and Billing, Care Coordination, and Population Health Management processes within healthcare organizations.
• Proven experience implementing, testing, and validating healthcare interoperability standards including HL7 v2/v3, FHIR (R4/R5), CCD/C-CDA, X12 Transactions, SMART on FHIR, and USCDI.
• Experience testing integrations and data exchanges involving leading EHR platforms such as Epic, Oracle Health, athenaOne, eClinicalWorks, and MEDITECH Expanse.

Technical Skills & Platform Expertise

• Strong proficiency in automation testing tools and frameworks including Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, Postman, JMeter, Java, and TypeScript.
• Demonstrated experience performing healthcare data validation, data reconciliation, ETL testing, synthetic data generation, and test data management using SQL, JSON, and XML.
• Working knowledge of modern DevOps practices and tools including Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to develop and execute automated API, UI, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing strategies for enterprise healthcare applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with synthetic patient data platforms and healthcare data simulators.
• Experience testing FHIR APIs and interoperability solutions.
• Knowledge of healthcare security and privacy controls.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing and test automation tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
