Job Title: QA Automation Engineer

Reporting To: QA Lead / Test Manager

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium, BDD Cucumber, and Java script. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and hands-on experience in banking payments schemes such as Wires, SWIFT or SEPA and payments processing engine such as OPF.

This role involves designing and implementing automated test frameworks, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the quality of mission-critical financial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and BDD Cucumber.
• Write clean, scalable test scripts in JavaScript, applying OOP principles.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to understand requirements and translate them into test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing for payment applications involving Wires, SWIFT or SEPA payment schemes
• Analyse test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain and execute automated test suites as part of CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Document test strategies, plans, and results for audit and compliance purposes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5 to 10 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation.
• Proficiency in Selenium, BDD Cucumber, and JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of OOP concepts and their application in test automation.
• Hands-on experience with payment schemes such as Wires, SWIFT or SEPA and payments processing engine such as OPF is desirable.
• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and version control systems (e.g., Git Bitbucket).
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, or similar.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ISTQB or equivalent certification.
• Exposure to cloud-based testing environments.
