Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API-based applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in automation frameworks, test planning, defect tracking, and quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
• Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test automation suites.
• Work with development, product, and QA teams to understand requirements and testing scope.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and API testing.
• Identify, report, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
• Build and improve automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar.
• Execute API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
• Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines where required.
• Prepare test reports, defect reports, and quality metrics.
• Ensure application quality, performance, reliability, and user experience.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience in software testing and test automation.
• Strong knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar.
• Good understanding of Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript for test automation.
• Experience in functional testing, regression testing, API testing, and test case design.
• Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, SoapUI, or similar.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla, or similar.
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and QA best practices.
• Ability to write clean, reusable, and maintainable automation scripts.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter will be an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of databases and SQL queries.
• Exposure to cloud-based testing platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
• Experience in mobile automation testing using Appium will be preferred.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant software testing and automation experience will be given strong preference.
