About the Role
We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer who is comfortable with both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate can understand business requirements, design test scenarios, write robust automation scripts, and ensure high quality releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with product managers and developers to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
- Design, create, and execute test cases for web and or mobile applications
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing
- Develop and maintain automation test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar
- Build and maintain test suites as part of CI CD pipelines
- Log, track, and verify defects using tools like JIRA or similar
- Prepare clear test reports and share quality metrics with stakeholders
- Continuously improve test coverage, test data, and test environments
- Support UAT and production validation when required
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong experience in manual testing including test case design, test execution, and defect management
- Hands on experience in automation testing using any of the following
- Selenium WebDriver
- Cypress or Playwright
- TestNG, JUnit, or similar testing frameworks
- Good understanding of SDLC and STLC
- Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured
- Working knowledge of version control systems like Git
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
- Good understanding of databases and ability to write basic SQL queries
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work with cross functional teams
Nice to Have
- Experience in performance testing using JMeter or similar tools
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience testing microservices or distributed systems
- Experience in BDD frameworks like Cucumber
Education
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
