Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Position: QA Automation Engineer

Experience: 5 years

Location: Hyderabad

Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days of notice.

Responsibilities

Execute manual and automated test cases using the existing Selenium WebDriver framework.

Write simple automation scripts (locators, waits, reusable functions) under senior guidance.

Create and update test cases from user stories and acceptance criteria.

Run test suites locally and in shared environments; capture logs, screenshots, and reports.

Log clear, reproducible defects and re-test fixes.

Maintain test data and smoke/regression checklists.

Contribute small step definitions/Gherkin scenarios in a Cucumber BDD framework.

Participate in daily stand-ups, sharing testing progress and blockers.

Qualifications

Proven experience in QA automation and functional testing.

Hands-on with Selenium WebDriver, Java, TestNG/JUnit, Cucumber.

Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI (pipelines, artifacts, notifications).

Basic understanding of SDLC/STLC, defect lifecycle, and Agile testing practices.

Strong attention to detail, good communication, and eagerness to learn.
