QA Support Engineer / Software Support Engineer
(Malayalam Language)
About the Role
In this role, you will support testing efforts across Voice AI components such as Speech-to-Text (STT), Natural Language Understanding (NLU), and Text-to-Speech (TTS), as well as workflow and automation, while contributing to test documentation preparation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with up to 2 years of QA or support experience to deepen their skills in the fast-growing Voice AI space.
Key Responsibilities
Testing & QA
- Assist in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Voice AI Agent applications and backend services; audit calls and correct language prompts.
- Conduct functional, integration, and regression testing of voice and chatbot interactions, including speech recognition, intent understanding, and response accuracy.
- Validate voice agent conversation flows in Malayalam, including STT, NLU, and TTS performance.
- Support API testing for backend services and voice/bot integrations using tools like Postman.
- Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) preparation and execution.
Documentation & Defect Management
- Prepare and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test reports, and defect logs.
- Identify, report, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
- Participate in test reviews and provide feedback to developers and product managers.
Collaboration & Support
- Collaborate closely with QA engineers, developers, and product teams to reproduce and troubleshoot issues.
- Ensure testing follows security and privacy best practices.
- Provide technical support to users and handle customer queries in Malayalam and English within defined SLAs.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent demonstrable experience).
- 0–2 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or Technical Support.
- Basic understanding of STT, NLU, and TTS technologies, and Voice AI or Chatbot systems.
- Hands-on experience writing and executing test cases and preparing QA documentation.
- Familiarity with QA tools such as Jira, TestRail, Postman, or similar.
- Basic understanding of JavaScript and MongoDB.
- Some experience with API testing or automation tools is a plus.
Language & Communication
- Strong proficiency in Malayalam — reading and writing is mandatory.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Eagerness to learn new testing techniques and Voice AI technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in technical support, customer support, or BPO QA.
- Exposure to AI technologies: Speech-to-Text (STT), Text-to-Speech (TTS), Chatbots / Voice AI systems.
- Familiarity with Bot Testing Tools.
- Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for automation.
- Experience validating multilingual conversational AI with focus on Indian languages.
Other Details
Shift: Shift-based working schedule is mandatory and can include night shifts if required.
Training: Will be provided for AI-related systems if needed.
