Key Responsibilities:
Data Quality Assurance
- Design and execute test plans for data pipelines, transformations, and integrations within Azure.
- Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across source and target systems.
Azure-Focused Testing
- Test data flows in Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL.
- Monitor and validate performance, scalability, and reliability of cloud-based data solutions.
Automation & CI/CD Integration
- Develop automated test scripts using Python, SQL, and Azure DevOps.
- Integrate QA processes into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.
Defect Tracking & Resolution
- Identify and document data issues, working closely with data engineers and developers to resolve them.
- Maintain a defect log and contribute to root cause analysis.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Partner with data analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Document test cases, results, and QA metrics for reporting and compliance.
Required Qualifications:
- 2-6 years of experience in data QA or testing roles in a data and analytics space
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data validation technique.
- Hands-on experience with Azure services: Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL, Blob Storage.
- Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and data governance principles.
- Experience with test automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, PyTest, dbt tests).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in enterprise reporting environments (e.g., Power BI).
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to finance or operational data domains.
