QMS – Senior Engineer

About the Role

Our consulting client is looking for a QMS – Senior Engineer to support and maintain the Quality Management System and ensure compliance with applicable automotive quality standards. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of relevant QMS/Quality experience within the automotive or auto-components industry, along with strong practical knowledge of IATF 16949 and automotive quality tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the company's Quality Management System.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 requirements.
• Handle QMS documentation, procedures, records and quality-related processes.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
• Work on CAPA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
• Coordinate with production, engineering and other teams on quality-related issues.
• Ensure proper implementation of quality procedures across the organization.
• Monitor and follow up on non-conformities and corrective actions.
• Support APQP, PPAP, FMEA and other automotive quality processes.

Required Skills / What You Bring

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in QMS/Quality.
• Automotive or auto-components industry experience is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of IATF 16949 is mandatory.
• Practical knowledge of automotive quality tools, including:
• APQP
• PPAP
• FMEA
• 8D
• CAPA
• Root Cause Analysis
• Experience in handling audits and QMS documentation.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Bachelor's degree/diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering or a related field.
• Candidates should have good working knowledge of IATF 16949. Certification in IATF is an advantage.
