Position Overview:
The BI Lead will work with the product development and business users to understand the functional, visual and client requirements alongside the data architecture in order to create impactful visualizations for reports and dashboards. The candidate will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Qlik applications, standards, platform architecture and guiding the developers.
Principal Accountabilities:
Design and develop state-of-the-art Qlik applications to meet client needs; reports, dashboards and mashup development.
Interact with business owners/stakeholders to gather requirements for new development projects.
Work with the product development team to define technical design specifications.
Manage the implementation of the technical design specifications with internal and external resources.
Effectively design and visualize data in Qlik applications (dashboards, printing reports, etc.).
Perform detailed analysis of source system data and model data in Qlik.
Design, develop and test Qlik scripts to import data from source systems.
Monitor and maintain all the components that make up the Qlik platform.
Drive the adoption of standards and governance to ensure that the Qlik platform remains stable, reliable and secure.
Participate in a collaborative work environment across both IT and the business.
Qualifications/Experience:
Graduate degree, preferably in computer science or related technical field.
At least five years developing with Qlik – QlikView and QlikSense, Nprinting.
Experience developing and architecting Qlik solutions in an enterprise environment.
Knowledge of Qlik Visualization Extensions, Mashups, APIs, and Web Integration.
Experience with HTML5, Java, JavaScript, etc. in implementing visualizations.
Experience sourcing data from disparate systems with a solid understanding of data models and ETL processes.
Experience administrating Qlik applications in Access Point/Sense Hub, utilizing admin tools to manage system parameters, bookmarks and shared files.
Experience with Set Analysis, Section Access, Functions, Parameters, Alternate States, Chart Box, List, Table Box, and Data Islands.
Well versed in deployment methodologies/processes utilizing Qlik Publisher/Scheduler.
Strong knowledge of Qlik server architecture.
