Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented QC Manager to oversee quality control and assurance for our toy manufacturing operations. The QC Manager will ensure that all products meet international quality standards, safety regulations, and customer expectations while complying with industry guidelines such as BIS, ASTM, EN71, ISO, and other toy safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor QC processes for raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
Ensure compliance with toy safety regulations (BIS, ASTM F963, EN71, CE, ISO, etc.).
Establish and maintain inspection protocols, testing procedures, and quality documentation.
Lead a team of QC inspectors/engineers and provide training for continuous improvement.
Coordinate with R&D, Production, and Procurement to address quality issues.
Investigate customer complaints, product recalls, or rejections, and implement corrective & preventive actions(CAPA).
Prepare and present quality reports, defect analysis, and audit findings to senior management.
Collaborate with external agencies for product testing, certifications, and audits.
Drive process improvements using tools like Kaizen, 5S, and Lean Six Sigma.
Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.
Key Requirements:
Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Plastic/Industrial Engineering OR M.Sc. in Polymer Science/Chemistry.
Experience: 710 years of QC/QA experience in toy manufacturing, plastic molding, consumer goods, or FMCG industry with at least 3+ years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of toy safety standards (BIS, ASTM, EN71, CE).
Experience in injection molding, assembly line, painting, and packaging quality control.
Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, ERP, and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Strong communication and reporting skills.
Preferred Skills:
Exposure to global compliance standards and third-party audits.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 systems.
Hands-on experience with statistical quality tools (SPC, MSA, FMEA).
