JOB DESCRIPTION QC Head (Investment Casting)
Location: Rajkot, Gujarat
Industry: Investment Casting / Foundry
Education: Diploma / BE / B.Tech Mechanical / Production
Experience: Minimum 10 Years
Salary Range: 12 LPA 18 LPA
Role Overview
The QC Head will be responsible for managing the overall Quality Control and Quality Assurance functions of the Investment Casting division. The role requires deep technical knowledge of casting processes, NDT, metallurgical testing, and international quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage QC team for Investment Casting operations
Oversee raw material inspection, in-process quality checks, and final inspection
Ensure compliance with ASTM, DIN, BS, EN, GOST, JIS, IS standards
Manage testing processes including spectro analysis, UT, MPI, DP, hardness, and microstructure testing
Establish quality systems, SOPs, inspection plans traceability documents
Handle customer complaints, corrective actions continuous improvement
Co-ordinate with Production, Design Customer teams for technical quality issues
Prepare QC reports, documentation, calibration records QA manuals
Ensure smooth functioning of NDT activities with proper procedure implementation
Drive process improvements to reduce rejections and increase First-Pass Yield
Required Skills Competencies
Strong knowledge of investment casting processes
Expertise in NDT (UT/MPI/DP) metallurgical testing
Familiar with ISO/Quality management systems
Leadership team management ability
Problem-solving and decision-making skills
