QC Executive – Polymer & Masterbatch

Department: Quality Control

Industry: Polymer / Masterbatch / Plastic Compounding

Experience: 2–5 Years

Qualification: B.Sc./M.Sc. Chemistry, B.Tech./M.Tech. Polymer, Plastics Technology or equivalent

Job Responsibilities

Conduct incoming, in-process and finished product quality inspection.
Test raw materials, masterbatch and polymer compounds as per defined specifications.
Perform testing of MFI/MFR, Density, Moisture, Ash Content, Color, Dispersion, Tensile/Impact properties and other relevant parameters.
Handle laboratory instruments and maintain proper calibration/records.
Check and approve raw materials, production samples and finished goods as per QC standards.
Monitor batch-to-batch consistency and identify quality deviations.
Prepare COA, test reports, inspection reports and QC documentation.
Investigate quality complaints and support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Coordinate with Production, R&D and QA teams for quality-related issues.
Maintain laboratory housekeeping, testing records and SOP compliance.
Support new product trials and validation activities.
Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and customer specifications.
Maintain proper documentation of rejected materials, rework and non-conforming products.

Required Skills

Good knowledge of Polymer, Masterbatch and Plastic Compounding.
Practical knowledge of QC laboratory testing methods.
Knowledge of PE, PP, ABS, PS, PET or other thermoplastics will be an advantage.
Good understanding of pigments, additives, fillers and polymer raw materials.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 / Quality Management System is preferred.
Good analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.
Ability to work closely with Production and R&D teams.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in Masterbatch, Polymer Compounding, Plastic Processing, Color Masterbatch or Additive/Filler Masterbatch manufacturing will be preferred.
