Job Role
A QC cum Inspection Engineer is responsible for ensuring product quality, conducting inspections, and verifying that all materials, processes, and finished products meet industry standards and client specifications. The role involves quality checks, documentation, reporting, and coordinating with production teams to maintain consistent quality levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials and products.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards before inspection.
- Conduct dimensional checks, visual inspections, and functional tests.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, test records, and quality documentation.
- Identify defects or deviations and coordinate with production teams for corrective actions.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to quality procedures, standards, and safety guidelines.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for quality issues and assist in implementing preventive actions.
- Inspect welding, machining, fabrication, assembly, and other manufacturing processes (as per industry).
- Calibrate and maintain inspection tools, gauges, and measuring equipment.
- Communicate inspection results to supervisors, engineers, and clients.
- Support internal and external audits, including ISO and customer audits.
- Work closely with QA, production, and maintenance teams to resolve quality concerns.
